Grandparents. I don’t often get this opportunity to do a photo shoot of the grandparents. Often, they don’t live close by or are visiting for a very short while with their daughter’s or son’s families or they are simply too shy to want to sit for a portrait. But I count myself lucky that I had the chance to spend a little time with this couple. They were so sweet and fun to hang out with and when I proofed their pictures, I was struck by the character captured in their images. While children give me raw unaffected emotion in their expressions, these grandparents’ faces told me they had many stories to share of their lives. I was unexpectedly touched by their photographs.
