Traveling To Tikal | Los Gatos child photographer

My husband and I love to travel. We always have. Now that our girls are getting older, we’re looking forward to bringing them with us to new and different places to explore. And revisiting destinations to experience through their eyes. This year, we traveled to the Mayan Ruins of Tikal in eastern Guatemala. We’d never been there before and liked the fact that the ruins might give our girls plenty of places to run around and discover. At 7 years old, they’re still at an age where spending their free time searching for seashells at the beach and playing in a swimming pool provide ample entertainment, but that travel bug is growing.

Gosh, I remember studying the Mayans and Incas in grade school. I was fascinated by the history and mystery of their existence. One day, I hope to visit Machu Picchu or any of the other sites. And perhaps we will someday.
